Sat on the shore watching a Stoer Bay sunset whilst waiting on my chips from the local chip van – Catch Toll fish & chips. Their last wee winter pop up before the busy holiday season starts…..believe me these have been such a treat to the locals. A supper from their van is an absolute must if you are in the area. Freshly made for each customer and so so tasty.
I am also waiting for one of my wee sisters to arrive for a visit along with her partner and my niece. The first time they have manged to make it up to the chalets since we bought them and far to long since we have seen each other properly thanks to the dreaded Covid.
The weather just to top it off has been amazing and is meant to continue to do so for at least another week so we have to make the most of it.

You cant help but love the colours in the stones on the bay, so many patterns and shades. I originally thought years ago that they were so smooth thanks to continual pummelling from the waves. If you saw some of the hammerings they get especially in the winter this would you think make sense. I have since then discovered that in fact they are so smooth from shifting and grinding together during the ice age….amazing isn’t it!
